How to prepare for your photoshoot

So you've never had a professional photo shoot before...don't worry, we'll help you every step of the way, from making you feel glamourous with professional makeup, to assistance with wardrobe selection and posing you so your photos look amazing! Below is a bit of a guide to help you get ready...and don't forget, you can contact us any time if you have any questions, we're here to help.

Arrive as a blank canvas!

Please wear loose fitting, comfortable clothing, with your skin fresh and your hair clean, remember, we’re going to make you look fabulous!

Be aware that your Elegant Glamour +Boudoir poses often reveal a little skin, so anything like elastic, tight fitting clothes and even bras and underwear can leave unsightly marks which we may not be able to remove in editing, so it’s best to get changed just before we shoot…We have a private area for you to get changed.

Before you come to the shoot:

Check out Google, Instagram and magazines for inspiration and keep a couple of poses in mind that you would like to try.
Remove any unsightly hair
Get rid of re-growth, a visit to the hairdresser a day or two before is usually a good idea
Steer clear of tan lines and sunburn!
Exfoliate your skin… dead skin cells give a dull look, even under makeup.
Be aware of pressure marks on your skin from tight bra straps/underwear… loosen bras or go without!

What to bring to your shoot:

Signed model release form (attached or sign before the shoot)
The outfits that will give you the ‘look’ you desire.
Remember shoes…heels show off your legs fabulously!

Optional:

Some of your favourite music. I might have different taste in music to you, so we can play the music on your device or Spotify through our sound system (it's phat!)
A prop can help you relax and gives you something to do with your hands, as well as assist with posing and themes. If you play a sport or an instrument or you have a hobby...any number of possibilities, as long as it's something that shows your personality. (not essential)

Fake Tan:

In my experience, you are far better to be all natural in your skin tones rather than some alien orange shade! We can alter your look in a much more subtle way with lighting and you'll be happier with the results. A natural looking you is more appealing than an artificial version!

Most importantly bring along your charm, confidence and a little sense of adventure!

A little note about friends…

If you choose to bring a friend (and we’re happy for you to bring somebody). We advise somebody who will support you and preferably not a partner/spouse. Remember this experience is all about YOU and we want you to love it! You don’t need anybody there who may influence your mood in a negative way. (Anybody who does come is there as an observer only, but may give you moral support if it is positive to the energy of the shoot.
